this console owns by far. you don't understand how good it is until you get it. everybody I've asked who has a wii but not an xbox 360 but has played it says wiis better. but wii is boring, its aimed at little kids rather than teens who like to shoot stuff. I have a playstation 3 too. I prefer the xbox pads to the ps3 pads simply because, the triggers are better for shooters. overal, wii good for kids, xbox good for teens in need of a great shooter, ps3 average on both... xbox 360 wins!

Owns the PlayStation 3 by far...Sony fanboys refuse to admit the 360 is better because they wasted 400 to 1000 dollars on PS3 and they're ashamed of the mistake they did. Halo 3 > Resistance, Gears of War > Uncharted, Forza > MotorStorm and Gran Turismo, Fable II > Infamous. Too bad if you don't have enough judgement to realize that PS3 sucks and has a mediocre exclusive game library.

Although I'm a Microsoft/360 fan, I have to admit that this game is truly a masterpiece. Storyline was perfect since the first game on PS1, and Snake is arguably one of the greatest characters of all-time. Even if I don't like Playstation 3 that much, saying this isn't perfect would be blasphemy.

The PlayStation 2 version of Guitar Hero II was welcomed with very positive reviews. It received a 10/10 review in the December 2006 issue of Official PlayStation Magazine and was awarded the Game of the Month award. The game received a rating of 9. 5/10 from IGN, ranking higher than the original game in the series and amongst IGN's highest rated PlayStation 2 games ever.

Several reviews criticized the changes made to Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock compared to previous games in the Guitar Hero series. IGN's review of the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions considered the game a "pretty safe effort" from Neversoft, doing little to change the game due to it being their first time working on the series. They also criticized the lack of customizable characters.

playstation 3 should be 1 its way better than xbox 360

First of all, I like the N64 more than the PSone. But this isn't a list about favorite consoles, its about the best and most important consoles. The PS1 was singlehandedly responsible for the switch from cartridge-based to disc-based gaming. The Playstation also created, revolutionized, and reimagined many genres and franchises, such as Gran Turismo, Metal Gear Solid, Tomb Raider, Spyro, and Final Fantasy. Most important though, is that the PSone changed the culture of video games. Previously, video games had been a small niche market, where the average customers were kids and a few adolescents in America, Europe, and Japan. The Playstation was sucessful enough and had enough high-quality mature titles that it made videogaming a hobby to people of all ages, nation, and backgrounds.

First, you make a trilogy of RPGs with unprecedented complexity for the NES, with innovations such as four-member parties, a complex magic system, and the job system. Move on to the Super Nintendo, where you developed highly complex characters and a new ATB sytem to introduce a new level of management to battles. Procede by defecting to the Playstation, where you introduce advanced graphics, huge worlds, and some of the first video game stories to make people cry. FFX introduced a high level of strategy, FF11 is one of the best MMOs out there, and FF12 created an entirely new way to play RPGs. The entire series consists of huge overworlds, epic stories, and beautiful music. As a bonus, spinoffs such as the Tatics series and Crisis Core bring diversity and strength to the franchise. Though the lack of FF13 so far into the 7th generation is a disappointment, Final Fantasy has enjoyed more than two decades of dominance, and it prospers wherever it sets roots.

Mortal kombat: Deadly Alliance (originally known as Mortal Kombat V: Vengeance) is a fighting game developed and produced by Midway. It is chronologically the fifth in the Mortal Kombat series. Deadly Alliance was released for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube, and Game Boy Advance on November 20, 2002. Deadly Alliance is notable for being the first, and to date, only, game in the series that does not feature Liu Kang as a playable character. It is also the last game to feature both Scorpion and Sub Zero in their unmasked forms.

Soulcalibur is the second game in the Soul series of fighting games developed and produced by Namco. Soulcalibur was ported and released for the Sega Dreamcast with improved graphics and new features and became one of the best-selling Dreamcast titles overall. The Sega Dreamcast port is often cited as the greatest fighting game of all time, and even one of the greatest games across all genres; it is ranked as the eighth-best game of all time by review aggregator site Game Rankings. Following the first game Soul Edge (also a game created for the arcade originally, and subsequently the PlayStation) in 1995, the Soul series received a major makeover and was retitled Soulcalibur in 1998. Hence, Soulcalibur can also refer to the series consisting of Soulcalibur and its subsequent sequels (essentially the Soul series minus Soul Edge).

Tekken 3 is the third installment in the Tekken fighting game series. It was the first game released on Namco's System 12 hardware (an improvement to the original two Tekken games, which used System 11). It was the last installment of Tekken for the PlayStation. It was released for the PlayStation in 1998, and in 2005 for the PlayStation 2 as part of Tekken 5's Arcade History mode. The PlayStation version became a critical and commercial success. Tekken 3 maintains the same core fighting system and concept as its predecessors, but brings many improvements, such as significantly more detailed graphics and animations, 15 new characters added to the game's roster, more modern music and faster and more fluid gameplay.

Lethal Enforcers is a 1992 shooting game released for the arcades by Konami. It is best known for its revolver-shaped light gun known as the Konami Justifier, its digitized graphics, and the controversy over its content. Home versions were released for the Super NES, Sega Genesis and Sega CD during the following year. The home versions makes use of a revolver-shaped light gun known as the Konami Justifier, which came packaged with the game. A standard controller can be also used in lieu of the light gun in these versions. A second-player Justifier light gun, pink in color, was available only by mail order from Konami, and is very hard to find today. Lethal Enforcers was followed by Lethal Enforcers II: Gunfighters, followed by the much different (and fully computer-generated) Lethal Enforcers 3. The game is also featured alongside Lethal Enforcers II in the two-in-one compilation Lethal Enforcers I & II, released for the PlayStation in 1997.

This game has an exponential amount of variety. With a realistic rag doll engine, varying battle sounds (extremely varying), a stress factor that affects your actions in combat, Dualshock 3 that brings you even further into the battle, and a lot more. I do see why Grand Theft Auto would be pretty cool, but since I got MGS4, I haven't put GTA4 back in the Playstation.

God bless you for the Sony Playstation!

I cant believe it wasn't even on the list" I cant think of many other games that could tell a story better than metal gear can. On top of that it completely established the genre of Stealth gameplay single handedly. The game was also very ahead of its time as far as creativity I cant a think of another game that had as many genuine ideas from button tapping, switching control ports, to how creative they used the rumble feature. when at the time the playstation didn't even come standard with rumble. the graphics were also very advanced for its time compared. i think the only reason its not as nearly appreciated is because its very slow paced and is exclusive to the playstation. the game was very unique in that it was not repetitive from basic gameplay to the boss battles, you were given the choice of how you would engage the opponent whether it be sneaking up on them and snapping there neck or just choking them till the pass out. what made the game great was the advanced AI and how it reacted to you in the game you could actually manipulate your enemy more than jus shooting a gun and make him notice you, you could lure him into other rooms buy tapping the wall or get him to follow footprints. the game also featured one of the best voice acting I have ever heard it brings you so much more into the game making you really respect the character as if they were real. truly an amazing game and should definitely be considered one of the greatest of all time!
