NBA all time Top Ten - my look

First let me say I put a premium on winning championships. Points scored, games won are nice but you play the game to WIN. So here is my version of the top ten, IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER. It is too hard to rank them, let's just focus on the top ten:

The "shoe in" centers - easy

Russell, Chamberlin and Jabbar. All have the rings and the stats.

The "shoe in" guards - easy

Robertson, West, Jordan and Magic - West and Robertson changed the game, even if they are light on rings.

These are the non-negotiable 7, and where the other lists goes wrong (Maravich is interesting, great shooter no rings; Iverson is a joke; and sorry, no Bird - only 3 rings surrounded by great talent and only beat Magic once)

Number 8 is Kobe Bryant - great individual player and he now has 4 rings. He is only 30, what if he gets another?

Number 9 is Shaq - redfined the position - 4 rings with 2 different casts, he has to be included.

Number 10 is Tim Duncan - 4 rings, weak supporting cast.

Before anyone Bird fans have a fit, I could make a top 15 list without him. And LeBron needs to win a few before he can be considered.

Let the discussion begin.....
