ok look, 4 all of the ppl. out there who think that cheer is so easy and safe well think again , cause it's not. Here put it this way ur in the middle of ur routine ur at the beggening , move on 2 the jumps and now ur at the 1st stunt u clap and now ur settin u put her up 2 an xtention 1 leg and she starts 2 wobble , u lean under the stunt more 2 make it more stable and she falls u put up ur arms up 2 catch her and she rolls over ur back and lands on her neck u have 2 complete the routine without her and after it's over they call 911 she is taken away and they cheak on her and she can never cheer , jump, tumble, flip, or kick again she is paralyzed.Posted July 7, 2009 by cheerluvr

“honey, do u know how many people get paralyzed a year from riding, im not sayin cheer is easy, cuz i do gymnastics to, and my friend broke her elbow cheering, but in cheer u control only ur body, in horseback riding, u have to control ur body and an 1000+ pound animal, that if it wanted to kill u, easily could.”

“ok i was just at a horse show and i was oing to a jump that was a little too bug for my horse. He is too slow to the jump and i make the worst move ever i lean which means I get into my jumping position before the horse jumps. he stops and drops his head and i crash into the oxer and because ur cheerleaders i have to use smaller words which i cant use without confusing u so an oxer is a long jump. which is a very bad way to fall. Luckily all i got was a pulled muscle in my arm but it looked ALOT worse than it was. My mom claims her heart stops (& its hard to scare my mom when i fall cause she's seen me fall hundreds of times) even the paramedics came. so just those littl mistakes left me faceplantin the jump. cheer well its all girly sacrafices. u have to put plaster in ur hair, cant have pretty nails, and cant go to partied. Oh my god ur gonna die. please we as horse riders dont even care about that crap. our nails our constantly covered in mud, we PREFER our barns than a stupid dance/prom and wear our hair sweaty & in a pony tail. and well just because one person gets paralyzed means its more dangerous than horseback? and btw I know this list is all about opinion & since horseback is CLEARLY more popular (and dangerous may i add) it is at the top. by i did a little research and cheer is 8th more dangerous and horseback is number 3. now what i do isnt at all as dangerous as horse racing show jumping or cross country. I am a hunter / equitation rider meaning its judged on how well the rider rides or how nice my horse moves or jumps.

“ok cheer is somewhat dangerous but i must say that horseback is more dangerous. yes u do fall but so do horse riders and well a jump can also seperate you from the ground. not only is riding a horse dangerous but so is just being around one. I know someone who was giving their horse a bath and something spooked it so it yanked back and the wooden plank the horse was tied to broke and hit its owner in the head. she couldnt talk and cant see. I dont know how she is now tho but last i heard it didnt look good.
Horseback is the most dangerous sport no question about it.”

“well ya but i am not sying that cheer is harder than hbr it is just that cheer is not easy or safe i mean i was just at cheer the other day and i bit a chunck of my toung off dilocatd my ancle and a girl fell from a stunt and broke her ribs and i have had other injuries too i broke my finger once and surgery cuz the tendon also tore and it was sooo bad that it gave me arthritic i already had arthritic in my writ wris both my knees and two of my toes so i think i know pain and ooh ooh one day my achelies tendon snaped cuz it was being over used the dr said and there are two girls on that cant do gymnatics witout breaking her writst and on that is on my team that cant do cheer or gymnatsics without fracturing her foot this is the 3rd time it has happened to her and the other girl it has been the 12th time that she had broken her wrist and she has had numorous surgeries and stuff like that to try and fix it but she cant cuz of cheer”
