I was scared to go to the bathroom when I was a kid because of this movie.

Awesome! That was a very scary movie I first scary movie I ever saw!. I saw it at my friend's house when I was only 6 years old. And trust me it's not my last!

I watch scary movies because they are fun; they just don't scare me. Then I watched Halloween. After the movie ended, I went to the bathroom and checked my shower... four times!

I have a reoccurring dream that I'm being chased and can't get away. the scenery changes. sometimes I'm in a big mansion, sometimes the woods. but it's always michael myers who is chasing me. that's saying something.

I watched it for the very first time with my friends and god it left me speechless! I couldn't sleep for weeks afraid of being alone

It was proved to be a hoax but still when it was though to be real. Very scary

this film has something few if no other horror films have ever managed to deliver, an intial benign suspence building up to absolute terror.

Best horror movie ever seen. With about $20 000 budget it makes such an impression, and despite there is actually nothing shown (no monsters, zombies, ghost and so on) it's one of the scariest movies I have ever seen.
If you don't think so, try to watch this inside tent in some woods at night:D

the eventual and thrilling subtleties in this movie really got to me. I have never really been afraid of movies, none of them really scared me, but this did it for me. thank you!

I saw this and it wasn't that scary but it was really gruesome... :s but an awesome film... esp. the part when the man gets his heart ripped out.

A signature name in the Horror genre, which is why the majority of people wear Scream masks even to this day. Yes, it's not as scary as Ju-On: The Grudge or REC but imo this is the best slasher series, Halloween 2nd.

This movie was perfect, honestly. It wasn't scary, but it had its moments that were... Odd. I'm a huge Hannibal The Cannibal fan, and loved all three movies. It's quite realistic as well and Jodie Foster was an amazing Clarice.

I love it! And aman28 is right! The are not any things like Micheal Myers or Damien (still like The Omen though! ) Quite scary. Although I can't talk! I've only seen Psycho, The Sixth Sense, Poltergiest and The Omen.

This movie was scary to me because I was about 5 when I saw it on T.V.. Every Halloween since I wouldn't turn it on AMC or SYFY because he scared me to much. I wouldn't even go to our town mall because he was there. In my opinion I think this is the worst and scariest movie period!

One of the best horror's out there, not to be mistaken with many remakes. Very simple concept but excellent delivery... a definite must watch.

This movie should be rated higher. This is the only movie I have ever seen where people ran out of the theater, and that was only half way through! Rob Zombie proved that he was indeed as twisted as his music when he brought this movie to us.

This movie scared the hell out of me. Imagine a town so far away that it can't even be tracked by GPS. And that town is headed by two psychopathic brothers who kill people just to make wax figures out of them to show them in a lonely museum. It's very, very scary!

This is the only Paris Hilton movie I like! Anywayz the movie has a great story and is really scary because just the thought of making wax dummies out of live humans scares the hell out of me! The ending was also superb

I watched this movie a couple of months ago and it still creeps me out, its not exactly scary, but it is very creepy in a way because it could be real, also on of the girls in the movie has the same name as me (paris hiltons charecter) which also kinda freaked me out too

This movie shattered my youth. It wasn't about gore; it was about scary psychological manipulation. The real-life trail of hauntings, curses and deaths that followed everyone who worked on the film helps, too.

Trilogy, The Exorcist, The Devil, Grim Reaper, and The Woman In Black is a hell of a lot scarier than both of them together multiplied by 15.

I watched 100s of horror movies like the ring, insidious, the grudge, etc. And they are NOT scary! Quarantine and rec scaried me so much I can never watch this movie in the dark! And I think you should listen to my advice I laughed watching the ring, the grudge, insidious and etc. This is the only movie that can scare me to death!

What isn't scary about a dude trapped in a phonebooth by a sniper in the buildings who no one can see? The sniper makes him do whatever he wants, and the scariest thing is his voice. Imagine a bone-chilling, everyday American voice, but calm and evilly saying- "hello stu. " DAMN, this jerked me for ages. I certainly ain't been in any phone booths for a while, and I intend to keep it that way, even if the nearest one is next to my best friends house!

The first time I saw the creepy towering beast I was terrified! Truly a great classic! The acting was great as well as the special effects.

The best ever. I didn't figure "it out" until her husband came home for a visit. Still, the ending surprised me.

Scary seeing all of those fit women being eaten alive. Gets you horny though.

Jurrasic Park III ain't scary, just a little freaky if it were real... Runnng away from Dinosaurs... Kinda cool... I'm voting for it not because its scary but its an awesome movie. I'd recommend it. And I've seen all 3. The third is the best by far:)
