Jared has such a unique voice that I don't even consider him a singer. He's much more than that. I always say that he's the lead vocalist of the band because the title "singer" doesn't match up to his incredible voice at all. That title sort of limits him to what he is capable of, such as screaming in a perfect note.

Layne Staley was a legend. His range, his screams, even the unusual nasal tone grows one the listener. His voice has a wonderful quality to it that can express sadness, pain and anger better than almost any other vocalist I have heard. Absolutely addictive voice.

He's voice is so unique, he was a big big influence on music from the late 80ties and 90ties and most importantly, NOW. He was open about his life and drugs, witch have an effect an people, and young people to day. In 1996 Alice in Chains did the MTV unplugged. You can see that Layne is not at he's best, and yet he deliver a good and strong, performance with Alice and himself, so the Alice today is still being booked for unplugged shows.

What an amazing talent. He was ahead of his time with his amazing harmonies with another great musician, Jerry Cantrell. Layne should be #1 because he was so versatile. If you listen to some of AiCs early songs, he can pull of a blues/jazz song and then turn around and rip your face off with a heavy rock song.

I listen to this artist everyday and I wish some people would look past his downfall and realize that there will never be another Layne Staley. I'm thankful that his music will live forever and give everyone a chance to hear what an amazing musician/talent he was.

Neil Tennant, the singer of Pet Shop Boys, has got a very eccentric voice, which is very recognisable to the human ear. His voice sounds unique and suits perfect to the music which Pet Shop Boys play. He can sing high and low tones, which all sound very clear. His voice is beautiful to listen to and, according to me, it sounds like an angel's voice. I am happy to know that there is such a great voice in this world.
