And the rest, after someone wins an oscar the Academy follows their career making it a lot easier to get noticed, for example, Sean Penn was finally nominated for Dead Man Walking and got several of them till he won for Mystic River. Just because Streep puts on an accent in all her films, doesn’t mean you should praise her as the greatest actress ever. Her movies with accents is just a smoke screen. Shes no better than anyone actress in Hollywood. She just gets offer huge roles. Besides she lost her first oscar. She must not care that much about them”
