“horse is a damn dangerouse sport your riding a 1,000 pound animal that in a blink of an eye rear up and crush you! this girl jessica forsyth got landed on by her horse and died istantly lets say you way 130 pounds the horse your riding ways 1,100 he doesnt like what your doing up there who do you think will win?”
“okay, horseback riding is definitely the most dangerous! In the last year I’ve broken both my pinkies, in two different spots on each pinky. So that’s four broken bones, I almost broke my hip after I lost an iron and fell off. I was going to go over a triple and the first two jumps were like, 18 in(? ) and then the last jump was only 2ft but the horse refused and I landed ON THE JUMP! I could have been stepped on or broken my neck! Lets see here, I also broke both my thumbs and I almost broke my elbow once. And this is just lessons. Wait until I get my own horse=)Oh yeah I almost forgot, I’ve also been on a bucking horse, but I stayed on and the this past week I was cantering a green horse and then she took off galloping in the lesson ring and there were two beginners and another person on the horse that bucks in the ring with me and I just managed to swerve her to the side before crashing into the beginners(i was training this horse, my sis was on the bucking one). THAT COULD HAVE BEEN A DISASTER! p.s. I’ve also done gymnastics, not anywhere near as dangerous as horseback riding.”
“I know a lot of people think riding a horse is so easy. But it really isn’t.
One time when my riding instuctor was riding the horse just all of a sudden bucked and reared. She almost came flying off.
Whenever you’re jumping you have the risk of the horse refusing the jump. The horse could crash through the jump and break your neck. Nick Skelton, an equestrian, broke his neck.
In cross country the horse could rub against one of those solid wood fences and fall and land on your head with 1200 lbs of horse. Someone had that happen to him once... dead.
In racing you could fall off and 7 or 8 1200 pounds of horse could trample you. Many riders have had that happen to them... broken ribs, backs, necks, pelvises,
anything else you can think about.
In horse riding anything can happen to you. You could be paralyzed, you could get anything broken. You could literally DIE!
How many sports have a high risk of death?”

Cheerleading
“ok, anyone who doesn’t see that this is the most dangerous sport is freakin dumb. last year, I was doing a twist cradle and I fell on my head. this year, I can’t do cheering because one mistake could mess up my head and I could get brain damage. there are more than 50,000 deaths EVERY YEAR from cheering, and more than 500,000 injuries, AND 6,000 PARALYZED EACH YEAR!”
“I am a cheerleader as you can see and I tink its the most dangerous because at our competitions lot of girls get hurt and they have the stretcher, aid kit and stuff already waitin for someone to get hurt because its really common. I have to be thrown really high in the air and flip in the air! also twist and kick but... I have to do all this stuff HOPING the girls underneath will CATCH me. also, I have to get flipped over peoples head really elaborately and flip people over mines and all type of stuff and still have to hope that the people underneath will ctach me. after all the risk and times you fall or get hurt it still is fun to get out dere and show people your skills and what you can do and accomplish so don’t get discouraged from cheerleading just know what your doing and if you are scared or don’t trust your catchers I advise that you tell that you are not ready or that you have a problem because it can lead to very serious problems”
“personally, I think it is a very dangerous. at least a lot more dangerous than the current #1, horseback riding. I mean, not only do they have tumbling, which could cause many of various injuries. but cheerleaders have to do stunts [lift up ppl] and they throw those people in the air. then after that they have to catch them! so I think this should definitely be the #1 choice!
besides that other sports just lift weights to get muscles and endurance. but cheerleaders, they lift people! =]”

Gymnastics
“I did gymnastics for 13 yrs. I had 2 compressed vertebras, a broken tailbone, broken toes and fingers, torn tendons in ankels and seperated shoulder. I was level 9 when I went to High school and would have gotten to Nationals in Uneven Bars if I hadn’t had done the vertebra issue. It is the most dangerous sport!”
“I was in gymnastics for 9 years and had many minor injuries, but also had some serious ones. Such a difficult sport, and super dangerous. When I was 14, I fractured my wrist so badly that they thought they were going to have to amputate it from my elbow down. Luckily, I managed to go through 3 emercency surgeries and come out of my 4 day hospital stay with my arm! I know a lady who had to have both knee caps replaced, due to all the damage from gymnastics over the years. I have weak wrists and knees now, but I’d do it all over again if I could! I recommend this sport for males and females. It teaches you discipline, balance, flexibility, coordination, team work, etc. It is demanding, but well worth it.”
“gymnastics can be dangerous but it can also be fun. I broke my shoulder and got back up and did the trick again.”

Soccer
“soccer is really dangerous. all you have is shin guards which don’t even give you much protection it still hurts extremely bad to be knocked in the shin. slide tackling is extremley dangerous and so are headers. soccer should at least be number 3 on the list.”
“go on youtube and you can find a lot of soccer deaths mostly from cardiac arrest. its one of the saddest things ever”
“Soccer is dangerous because you only have shin guards for protection”

Motocross
“either motorcross or bull riding. how would horse back riding be all that dangerous?”
“how is cheerleading more dagerous than motocross. try doing a double backflip 60 feet in the airand trying to throw a 250 pond bike around. in cheerleading you are 20 feet off the ground”
“no one has any idea
how physically and mentally
challanging motocross is until
the do it. controlling a 200-250 lbs. bike for 20 minutes straight
isnt easy!”

Hockey
“First of all, in hockey you slam people into walls. What could be more fun and dangerous at the same time.”
“haha, "i’m the best hockey player in the state... first year pee wee. "
anyways, hockey should definitely be ahead of lacrosse. hockey is a lifestyle, lacrosse is just what hockey players do in the off season.”
“fights

Rugby League
“God, this list is pathetic. SOCCER IS NUMBER SIX!?!?!?! Are you kidding me? The only way people get hurt in soccer is if they dive incorrectly and end up twisting an ankle... oh NO!
I don’t exactly like playing or watching rugby, but I know for a fact it is tougher than soccer. It is basically football... with no pads. So:
rugby>soccer
rugby>football
rugby>lacrosse
rugby>hockey
rugby>gymnastics (people aren’t trying to kill you in gymnastics or cheerleading)
rugby>cheerleading
rugby>bull riding (it’s only for 8 seconds! )
rugby>horseback riding: you have to be more specific. Racing, I can understand. Anything else, no. Even in racing, though the injures are almost sure to happen and be terrible if you fall off... if you fall off. So don’t fall off.”
“It’s like football with no padding and much more aggressive positions. You end up doing the flips that you do in gymnastics but instead of landing someone pushes you.”
“has anyone here ever played rugby, it is by far more dangerous than anything on this list, especially football and cheerleading, you play it with no pads, no protection and you have no blockers its full contact. people break arms and legs and go away with bloody faces. then they come back for more, do your research, this IS the most dangerous sport besides maybe base jumping (not a sport i would recomend by the way.)”

Football
“I have played football for 6 years. In that time I have broken my arm 3 times broken 2 legs had numerous concussions 2 of them so severe I didn’t remember the hit. It is by far the most dangerous sport. Why else do they give so much padding”
“I PLAY FOOTBALL IT REALLY COULD HURT YOU IF YOU GET HIT HARD YOU COULD BREAK SOMETHING
YOU COULD REALLY GET HURT”
“i play football and believe me I am only in the middle division league and ive already had a sprained ankle and a busted knee...and weve only had 3 games!!! plus you never here of center’s getting hurt...well look at me busted knee and strained ankle!!! and i am a center...FOOTBALL RULZ!!! =D”
