Best Home Security Alarm System Companies

With thousands of home security companies to choose from, how do you choose which one is right for you? Most people make this decision based on who is standing at their front door trying to sell them a system. But the security of your home and family is not something you should leave to chance.

This top ten list has been created to help you make an informed decision about how you will protect your home, your family, and your business.

Consumer Tip: Know what you're getting into when you sign a contract with an alarm company. To recoup the cost of sales, installation, and equipment, most alarm companies require a 2-3 year contract on their monitoring service with monthly fees ranging from $30 to $50.

Vote for Broadview Security 4) Broadview Security

Two years ago my son made pizza, accidently left the oven on, then went over to a friends house. The oven caught on fire, nobody was home except for my dog noel. The Broadview security smoke/heat dectector was set off, the dog was in her kennel, with no way out. Broadview Security called me to tell me my house was on fire, I panicked, but then told me help was already on the way. 5 minutes after the broadview security smoke/heat sensor went off my neighbor drove by, then called 911 to hear that Broadview had already called, and that the fire department was on the way. My dog would have died if it was not for Broadview Security

it saved my life

Vote for Frontpoint Security 5) Frontpoint Security

I have had this system in my home for a month now and it was been wonderful. Not only were they super friendly and helpful with my questions before I signed on, they have continued to be helpful & friendly afterward too. I have a top notch GE GSM cellular alarm system for no more cost than most land line systems. I also can take my system with me when I move, an option not available with other companies without much added cost. I can add to my system, up to 40 sensors, meaning I can customize it to my home very easily. I have ordered a few extra sensors since my initial purchase, that came fast & easy to install. The system comes ready to install, you follow the simple directions in the box and give Front Point a call after everything is in place and you are up and running in less than 30 minutes. I would recommend this company (and have) to anyone!

If I were to design a system and its features, I would do it exactly the way they did. I did a lot of research before buying and was turned off by the business model of all "traditional" companies. These guys will change the way other will do business in the future...just watch.
