1Valve
They, literally, have NOT EVER released a game that isn't at least good, and while the vast majority are amazing to play (half life 2, team fortress 2, Portal 2 (lots of 2's... )), they have never made a bad game!
The absolute geniuses of gaming today!
VALVe has the best CEO too, Gabe Newell! They made the World's Best Online Game, Team Fortress 2, and the World's Best FIrst-Person Shooter of 2004, Half-Life 2. Portal 2 has one of the best story lines and great soundtrack and graphics. Well done to VALVe.
Games like portal, half life, and other cool games are great works this developer, with valve and steam all other world games are nothing!

2Bethesda
These guys deserve as many medals as they could possibly get. They know what their fans want and work their asses off to make sure they get it. Their attention to details are always appreciated and obvious. A prime example of their brilliance are: The Elder Scroll Series and the Fallout Series.

Simple. They may not have made many games, but the few games they make are all incredible. The Fallou series reached a whole new level when Bethesda too over and The Elder Scrolls are incredible games. So, Bethesda.

4Insomniac
Ratchet and clank is the most unique game I have ever played. These games are one of my favorites of all time. Insomniac really puts time and creativity into their games. Thank you for the great games.
Insomniac brought me spyro, ratchet and clank and resistance.

5RockStar North
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE ROCKSTAR GAMES! 1) They actually take time in making their games, in order to make the game as good as possible; unlike Infinity Ward who are lazy. For example, MW3 is exactly the same as MW2. 2) All their games are new and fresh, E. G Grand Theft Auto V will have added submarines, jet planes and 3 playable characters, since Grand Theft Auto IV. 3) They have made some of the best computer game characters ever. 4) The games environments feel alive and look beautiful E. G Red Dead Redemption.
They have no bad games and always listen to their customers. Rockstar and Valve are my favorites but I'll vote for Rockstar because Valve is already where it deserves to be. By the way, what is Infinity Ward doing? MW3 proves they don't listen to customers at all.
Grand Theft Auto Series alone wins it for Rockstar. But they also have Bully, Manhunt, Red Dead Redemption and recently LA Noire. Rockstar hardly ever fails to deliver when they have their eyes set on developing a good game.

6Naughty Dog

Much like valve, Naughty Dog has never come out with a mediocre game. Every game released by them had been a major success. Naughty dog is even respected by other game companies with how they make their games and looked up to as one of the most iconic game companies ever, as Gabe Newell even gave props to them for uncharted 3.
All I needed to vote for this was the great crash bandicute and jack and daxter

This is the most important company of all time in the context of the First person shooter games. All it's technology has been used by other companies like VALVe (The source engine has some stuff from the ID Tech engine 2 and half life 1 is ENTIRELY done with some of John Carmack's engines). And their games are some of the best games I have ever seen: Doom, Quake, Rage, Wolfenstein,... 11/10
