Best Radio Personalities / Shows

The Top Ten
1 Don Imus

The best talk show host with the irreverent banter with his crew and unpredictable interactions with the wide variety of guests. He was just hilarious and never boring, I miss him already

Don's a hit at our home as my son also was a popular on air personality and then they changed formats... But he enjoys listening to Don's show whenever he is on if possible.

The best morning show ever. Unfortunately, he is retiring 31 March 2018.

2 Paul Harvey

A voice made for radio. A way of speaking that delighted the ear. Honest in telling the news as it happened. Paul Harvey was a pioneer and should be #1 on this list.

I used to listen to his stories as a little girl on the school bus. Oh, I must have been nine, maybe ten. He was an inspiration to me. He taught me many lessens in life.

When I was a small child, Radio and radio news was all we had. We had Paul Harvey, Johnny Dollar, The Six Shooter and work. I miss it all!

3 Little Steven's Underground Garage
4 Howard Stern Show

He invented the type of radio that all the others on this list are copying. He offers true reality entertainment. Unlike the manufactured "reality" shows, he shares his deepest secrets and weaknesses with the audience. No other entertainer is that honest and on display.

Howard is all that they criticize him for: he's arrogant; he's crude; he's not plesing to the eyes; he's somewhat misogenistic; he's somwhat racially unclear; and he is overpaid. With all that being "true"; I see an intelligent, determined, thoughtful, hard-working, scrupulous man.

5 Mike and the Mad Dog

They were great together, alone not so much. Mike has become a cranky old man and Mad Dog talks less and less on his show about sports and more about his infatuation with Bruce Springsteen

6 Wolfman Jack

Long before the movie "American Graffiti" or the T.V. show "Midnight Special", he was a real all-night outlaw DJ on an overpowered station broadcasting from Tijuana.

7 Rush Limbaugh Rush Hudson Limbaugh III (January 12, 1951 – February 17, 2021) was an American radio personality, conservative political commentator, author, and television show host. He was best known as the host of his radio show The Rush Limbaugh Show, which was nationally syndicated on AM and FM radio stations... read more

He makes me see possibilities of what is the motivation of politicians behind their actions and makes me think deeper. He is great in his knowledge of history and understands what has worked well for America and what hasn't. Congress should have to consult with him before they vote on anything.

Howard the duck number one, proof that idiocy rules the World.
Many good talk show hosts, but none does a better job then Rush.

I've been an avid fan since 1988. Loved him so much my license plate says "Ditto".

8 Sid Rosenberg

Who voted this jerk #9. This guy sucks. He has had so many runin with the law, he's been fired from a half a dozen stations. How does he continue to find work. Oh he is white and a Jew. And they control the media.

We are glad this bum is off Miami radio.

9 Charles McCord
10 Opie and Anthony (feat. Jim Norton)

Best show on any type radio. The Ron and Pepper Hicks Show is right there too. Anyone who says they copy Stern clearly stopped listening along time ago and is just trying to ride a wave long past.

An absolute must-listen for any fan of comedy. Go download compilations of Patrice, Louis CK, Bob Kelly, Maron, Rogan and you will not be disappointed. Only show that was a complete hang.

Changed the game by not having an itinerary for the show. Allowed guests to just come in and talk. Absolutely uncensored and the edgiest program in history.

The Contenders
11 STONE & Digital Dave Radio Show

These guys suck! They bash Howard Stern! They bash CNN. They bash NYC. I think they are Trump puppets. The only good thing about them is unlike other goobers they actually play good music between their babbling. I called the show one time and they did let me talk even though, I was bashing the pits out of them. Most radio guys would have hung up on me.

I can only hear them on the Internet. I subscribed to Sirius radio in both my trucks because I was told they were on it and I could listen to them anywhere in the States in my Truck. Sirius radio lied to me. They are not on it. I cancelled my two subscriptions and have encouraged my friends to do so to.

Don't lie to get subscribers!

12 Bernard McGuirk
13 Elvis Duran and YMorning Zoo

Am I the only one who listens to this show and can't stand it, can't stand Elvis (Barry), or the screaming crew who must laugh at what he says to keep their jobs? Still looking desperately for another morning entertainment. The only thing that keeps this show going are daily callers who unload their own miserable daily lives. And you can get that on most any station. I would give this show a minus % if I could.

Kudos to Elvis for managing this bunch and keeping it moving, but the true genius is the one that hired this diverse group of amiable co-hosts. They crack me up every morning and inspire topics of conversation later in the day with friends and family.

14 Joe Benigno

What a great listen to. This guy loves sports. He is a fan doing sports talk radio and is one of the best.

Getting a big head now that he is in drive time. We want our Joe "the Fan" back!

Got to love his passion about sports. A bit of a Homer but he is a NJ/NY. A great listen to

15 Bob and Tom Show

They were legends in Indiana where I grew up so when I moved to Indianapolis 10 years that they had already been on air. I was so happy to hear their program. I moved away in 2000 for military have missed them ever since. I recently found out Bod has since retired from the show and Kristi has left as well.

This show gave me a reason to laugh in the morning. Can't believe the show was canceled - just so wrong.

Day-to-day the best show on radio!

16 Jarvis Cocker
17 Car Talk

Who could resist this show? The brothers played hilariously off each other and the callers.

You learn a lot more about everything, not just cars. Fun show every time.

18 Hamish and Andy

These guys are amazing, not only are they funny, they take you on a tour of creativity and excitement.

These guys deserve to be number 1! They have me in hysterics every day on the way home from work

I got the need.
The need for steve.
Hope there's a steve here.

19 Preston and Steve

One of the best, funniest and most relatable morning shows on radio today - you don't dominate a market like Philadelphia without being wildly talented - these guys do it DAILY.

Miss these guys since I moved. Listen to them on the Internet sometimes.

20 Delilah
21 Phil Hendrie

Phil as "host", Phil as "guest", and clueless, outraged caller from 90's through mid-2000's is sheer genius, radio gold.

Phil Hendrie is the last bastion of true performance radio. Never disappointing.

I'd stay up later than necessary to hear Phil jerk fools around. Priceless.

22 Charlamagne Tha God
23 Pugs and Kelly
