“The most dominating team in CFB history. They destroyed 4 top ten teams, trailed only for 13 minutes the ENTIRE season an all star defense and 27 future pros, 9 future and current All-Americans. Even when stars where in trouble the team was so deep they rarely missed a step. They have ranked number 1 all time by SI, CBS, Sagarin, and multiple other places. In the championship game against the number 2 ranked Florida Gators announcers where dumbstruck at the absolute power the team had, one said in hyperbole the team was probably a 500 team in the NFL, probably not true but it wasn’t hard to imagine when you watched this nightmare bunch.”
“During the Regular season
-outscored opponents 421-150
-NU gained 6, 119, opp gained 3235
-averaged 52. 4 points per game
-Defense had 32 sacks for 231 yds”
“the most dominating team”

2001 Miami Hurricanes
“How many first rounders How many 2nd rounders, what they did to get to the final game was amazing. Washington and Syracuse have NEVER been the same programs since then.”
“In my opinion, (and in the opinion of many), the 2001 Miami Hurricanes were the greatest
college football team of all
time. One may argue this, of course, but I don’t believe one can seriously argue against ’01 Miami being, at least, the most talented college football team ever. At least 6 players on their roster have played in the pro bowl( Clinton Portis, Frank Gore, Andre Johnson, Jeremy Shockey, Ed Reed( N.F.L. Defensive Player of the Year), and Sean Taylor. There may be more I’m not aware of and more on the way. A couple of points to manifest their dominance: After their 65-7 dismantling of #11 Washington in the Orange Bowl, Miami was 10-0. This followed a 59-0 blow out of 13th ranked Syracuse the week before. The Canes margin of victory was greater against ranked teams than against their unranked opponents. The Miami defence allowed 13 touchdowns and Miami also scored 11 non- offensive touchdowns. These figures may be off by one either way since I don’t have these stats at hand. But it was truly an amazing display of dominance for a team to score within a couple of touchdowns of what they allowed FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON without their explosive and very talented offense ever taking the field!”
“BEST TEAM PERIOD, NOT JUST ONE YEAR, BUT FROM 2000-2004 LOST ONLY 2 GAMES, GOT ROB BY OHIO STATE FOR ITS 2 second TITLE!!. WHILE ALL THIS TEAM HAD ONE YEAR, WE HAD 4!!”
3)
1994 Penn State Nittany Lions
“The ’94 Nits had perhaps the greatest offense of all-time with Kerry Collins, Ki-Jana Carter, Kyle Brady, Bobby Engram, Freddie Scott and an offensive line that allowed only four sacks all season and helped Carter to a preposterous 7.9 yards per carry. 12-0.”
“Best team NOT to win a national title. Needs to be settled on the field.”
4)
2006 Texas Longhorns
“VINCE YOUNG - One of the greatest college football players of all time”
“Two words... VINCE YOUNG, do you think any of those other teams could stop him? Plus they beat USC which espn wanted us to believe were the best ever.”
5)
1992 Alabama Crimson Tide
“This team was the absolute best defense in the land (possibly ever). I watched them firsthand destroy the offense of the team I played for (Miss. State), while we tried to keep Derrick Lassic in check (no easy task when you’re on the field for 3/4 of the game).”
“Quite possibly the best defensive team ever. Totally shut down a powerhouse Miami team to win Alabama’s 12th national championship.”
“YES GO BLUUUUUE!
the was the greatest team in football history.. prolly the most exiting season of my life!
”
“Michigan’s D only allowed 9 points per game that year. The difference maker between them and the Huskers would be that Michigan could pass the ball. Both teams had great rushers, buy Michigan had a better balance and that’s why Michigan would’ve won a game between the two. Oh, and Michigan didn’t need an "accidental, on purpose" kicked ball td to save the game against a weak opponent.”
“wolverines would have ate the cornhuskers up that year they were the best”

“I do believe they had the best offense of all time”
8)
1988 Notre Dame Fighting Irish
“They beat 3 of the top 5 teams.”
9)
1991 Washington Huskies
“The best defense I have ever seen. Also done with a redshirt freshman at QB.”
“In perhaps the best year top to bottem for the PAC-10 Washington had no problems beating all that they faced. As well as teams outside the PAC-10,like at Nebaska,& #3 Michigan in the Rose Bowl.”
10)
2003 LSU Tigers
“TIDBIT- THEY HAD OVER 50 BLITZ PACKAGES NAMED AFTER EACH STATE. THEY BLITZED ALMOST EVERY PLAY.”
“ONE OF THE BEST DEFENSES IN RECENT MEMORY. WHAT WERE HEISMAN TROPHY WINNER JASON WHITES PASSING STATS IN THE NC GAME AGAIN??”
