They definitely have to perform, they are great, and actually fans are missing them, so they have to do it! Trust me, they gonna rock the house in a way any artist can do

IT'S NOT JUST BEING GREAT, BUT IT LIKEWISE IS HAVING SONGS THAT WOULD FIT WITH SUCH EVENT AS OLYMPICS AND BEING SO CATCHY (in terms of performance, song message and looks) TO ANYONE, EVEN TO THOSE WHO AREN'T THEIR FAN OR THOSE WHO AREN'T FAMILIAR OF THEM. And they got those songs that are PERFECT FOR THE OLYMPICS OPENING: "LIVE EVERY SECOND", "READY, SET, GO! ", "RAISE YOUR HANDS TOGETHER", what else...? I've heard these songs, and it would really fit well with the Olympic atmosphere. And with the vocalist's ever head-turning looks and getup, besides his awesome voice the band's music... They will really perk up the world in the Olympics opening. Remember how they rocked on all over Europe years ago (and getting INVITED BY THE PRESIDENT OF FRANCE TO PERFORM AT THE FOOT OF EIFFEL TOWER ON THE FRENCH NATIONAL HOLIDAY (BASTILLE DAY), and getting the rare public demand of performance at Israel), and how they've been a German national icon (as confirmed by the Goethe-Institut), all at a young age? Quite an impressive achievements.

This is OLYMPICS, and we're also considering here spectators like me who aren't that much into the mainstream pop culture in music. We need a group of ARTISTS WHOSE MUSIC CAN EASILY BE APPRECIATED BY THE GENERIC MASSES, yet MODERN, EDGY, CATCHY and PERKY, and we are talking about TOKIO HOTEL. The band is a good choice to reconcile for those who do not want too much pop, too much rock, and too much of any other genre, yet singing MEANINGFUL SONGS (yes, with substance, not just nonsensical lyrics) with CATCHY TUNES, so indeed they are for generic masses. And of course besides that, they got an overwhelming army of fans (top ranking fan army according to survey) who have been waiting for them for so long now. They've proven to be worthy, well praised (and awarded, of course, with the whooping 102 major awards), securing an ever loyal army of fans (winning MTV Army Awards consecutively, which is quite amazing considering that they haven't been active and seen in the music scene for a while now, compared to the other nominees in the category. Can you just imagine what kind of group are they who can gain that number of fans, much more their loyalty?! ).

For me, it's not about how great their fans are at voting (they're amazing) or how many awards they've won; it's about what they stand for. Tokio Hotel has never let anyone tell them no, this can't be done or no, YOU can't do this - they simply keep moving forward. Because of this strength of character, this certainty that yes, they CAN, they have achieved more than anyone thought possible, themselves included. And this the the core belief that drives every Olympic athlete, I think. They are tenacious, driven, and dedicated to always being their best, which is why I believe they would be a fitting act for the Olympics.

Tokio Hotel has been taking continent after continent with fans from different ages and walks of life following them, whether online or in real life. Despite having such status, they still remember to give back through different campaigns, just like that in Japan, in Chile, the Forgotten Children Foundation, DAA and even PETA. They are amazing and fans are proud to have seen them grow up in public, yet remaining humble and grounded.

They are really something... I don't think I have ever encountered a band or artist with so much emotion and support and such a different view and perspective on life as a whole! I have got most of my motivation and inspiration from this band and things like this are hard to find in the world today! Things like raw emotion and true feeling and such honesty in your work... There are very few artists that possess this and I can sincerely say that Tokio Hotel is one of them!

With A Rabid Fan Base They've Taken Home Many International Awards but The Most Important Of All Would Be Respect! The United Kingdom Loves Them! Why Not Give Them Another Shot?!?

By joining two such good things we have something better!, Since Tokio Hotel has been a band with much success so far, and the Olympic Games have been one of the Best Sports Catapults would be something beautiful that this band opened an important event like this, personally I think it should be... I am a fan of these four amazing boys, and I think it would be even more amazing to have them. At the Olympics... Honestly, it would in a way show others that have not heard of them that they are unique and to show every one that they are such an amazing band and that they are all about their fans and with songs such as "on't Jump" it shows they care, and with up beat songs such as "Automatic" they are a band you can dance to and have a blast dancing to their music. For my tokio hotel should represent without doubts, it is the best band that exists, I spend the limits not only in Germany, but in the world and since they have said, it is the band with mas fans of the world, for us, the aliens and for them serious an honor to be able to touch there... Tokio Hotel is a band that represents both the past and present. With clear 80s rock influence and yet a shift towards a new mechanistic sound, the German quartet is a band that appeals to all ages as is apparent in their fan base. I cannot think of a more deserving band, one who's record label does not back them up and receives no promotional help, that has gotten this far by the love of their fans alone. Without being clichéd, the band's lyrics hold a Depo meaning that can interpreted and adapted differently by each listener.

Tokio Hitel truly deserves this and it's amazing how far they've come already. Simply thinking of the difficulties the four of them (Bill Kaulitz, Tom Kaulitz, Gustav Schäfer, and Georg Listing) have faced together brings tears to my eyes. TH is not a band dedicated to cranking out meaningless pop chart toppers but rather to making music.

The members of Tokio Hotel are also good "human beings" who have a love and concern for people, animals, and world issues. This band REPRESENTS everthing that the OLYMPICS do, and their lyrics are always loving, kind, encouraging, positive, "G" Rated, and stir the hearts of their fans and listeners to become their "BEST" and to make a good impact on the World. Beside being individuals of high integrity, their music, performance, and overall "IT" factor will make for extremely high quality entertainment equal to and worthy of the Olympics!

Tokio Hotel are a great band and a perfect exmple of people who had work hard to make their dreams come true. They have been successfull having fans around the world and being awarded in every country, th last one was an important award in the MTV OMA which was Best Fan Army, beating other reputated musicians such as Justin Biebe and Adam Lambert. Currently they are worlking in their 5th studio CD. Although the media has sometimes criticized the band, it's imposs
ible to say that their music has no power. Beutiful lyrics with the strength of a wonerfull voice, the perfect rythm of the instruments and the lyrics which are an ode to life and freedom and with a powerful live performances the four from Magdeburg would be great to be part of this event.

I've been a fan of Tokio Hotel since the Develish era and I believe that they should be heard. They inspire millions of artist to deput in America and inspire people to join the music career and keep being yourself. They never changed for anyone and their fans are one of the biggest in the world. Everyone loves their songs in any culture. Plus I love k-pop but I am tired of how fake it has gotten, most all of the k-pop and english artist has sold out. Even if Tokio Hotel don't get to play at the Olympics I already know this votes your all wasting wont get the want you want in. It's between Adele, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, or any of the other crappy artist now. By the way I love the Adele, But I search that they want british music at the Olympics so k-pop wont do.
