Homer's annoyed grunt "D'oh!" has been adopted into the English lexicon, while The Simpsons has been cited as an influence on many adult-oriented animated sitcoms.

“The Simpsons is great! They portray many different things through television such as the violence that kids see on t.v. through Itchy and Scratchy.

I also really liked the episode where Homer becomes Pie Man. At the beginning of the episode, there was a t. v. show on like Survivor where a very rich man had a couple women come to his island. He gave each woman a rose to keep going except one; he would throw a rock at the one who displayed the most character and intelligence.

This proves that nowadays many people worry too much about their looks. They believe that the only way they will be popular is through their looks!
