“Probably the best movie ever made but is often thought to be simliar to Braveheart. Not even close. Mel stars in both, but the Patriot is not "controversial" like most (or all) of Mel's directed films. Because Mel Gibson did not direct the Patriot. Harrison Ford turned done the leading role as Benjamin Martin, so I think Mel Gibson was as more relaxed and convincible as he has ever been.”
