“His "Airness! " We all bow down to you. MJ is not only the guy we "Joes" wish we could be but is also the guy all the other ballas on this list wish they were. You go into the streets or into an arena and ask ANYONE who is their favorite player of all time I GUARANTEE you hear the same answer EVERY FREAKING TIME! MICHAEL JORDAN! If someone doesn't say his name they are either drunk or just a die hard fan of the best player from their own state, or just a liar. Lets put it into perspective the guy has won 5 NBA MVPS, 6 NBA championships, NBA Finals MVPs, 13 all-star games, 3 all-star MVP's, a defensive player of the year, nearly averaged 38 points for 1 season, all-time career scoring leader... do I really have to finish this list it never ends! (Gasping for my breath). What makes this guy amazing is that he is a Shooting Guard not a 7 ft Power Forward or Center and he did it in the modern era. Every team that has established itself as a dynasty and had multiple championships always compromised of Hall Of Fame Big men, the celtics with Russell and Bird, the lakers with Kareem and Shaq, Houstam with Hakeem, the Spurs with Duncan... and so on. The bulls triple-threat was Superman (Jordan), Batman (Pippen) and Rodman. None of who were past 6-8. Lets be serious Jordan won without Rodman and still didn't have a big man. The guy's greatness was established like 5 years into his career, the rings just solidified it. Larry Bird claimed to see God in Jordan, was he disillusional or right? I mean we all do hail Jordan. The guy when he retired averaged 33 points for his career and his little stunt dipped it to 31. 8. If your not a mathmetician it may seem like a small dip but consider it among a span of 120 something games and how much less he scored and yet he is still the career scoring leader. This guy made the biggest dunks, biggest shots "The Shot", and biggest plays in NBA history. He was the athlete of the decade and millenia. I could go on about his greatness and I kinda did, so seriously let me see somebody try to provide a coherent argument as to why he's not the best. Jordan's not the greatest NBA player ever... He's the greatest athlete ever! Holla.”
