Jay-z flow and delivery is like no other he is no doubt on of the most talented rappers to come into the game.

All I can really say here is Jay should without doubt be above 50 Cent, Nas and Lil Wayne.. I can at least accept why people might put Biggie, Tupac or even Eminem above him, but the other three just aren't in the same league

Plus where the hell is 50 its been years since he made a hit. There is no comparison between the two. Jay-z should be up with nas and all the other rappers who actually changed the rap scene all 50 did is talk big and brag about getting shot he's a trash rapper.

What?! Lil Wayne?! 50 Cent?! How are these fools above the Jigga man?! Jay-Z is an incredible rapper! He's the third best-selling rap artist of all time! His lyrics, beat, flow, and delivery are second to none! And unlike most rappers, his songs aren't all about "hoes", drugs, and gangsters.

Jay-Z one of the greatest put him up their with Nas biggie and PAC he's definitely better than 50 and Wayne o god lil Wayne is horrible these list are meant to be based on a rapper's skill and not mainstream popularity.

I Love Kid Cudi as an artist he should be respected very much as a rapper but he isn't up their as the best

Jay-Z should be in the top three. No other rapper has been as consistently great as Hov. In an industry that is difficult as is to make it in, Jay-Z has proved himself to be more than worthy of not only one of the greatest rappers alive, but maybe one of the greatest rappers ever. You cannot logically rank 2pac and Biggie over Jay-Z, because even if they were alive, you don't know how they would have evolved and how their raps would be now. Look what happened to top rappers like Ja Rule and DMX. They once were on top of the rap world by far, but they weren't consistent. Jay-Z, however, has not missed a beat. In his own words, "Ever since I made the change over to platinum, the games been a rap. One. " Not to mention the genius lyrics and flow, Hov is the American Dream.

Not really a fan of Jay's but I have to give him respect for his achievements. He hasn't truly originated anything but his ability to churn out albums without writing any of it down is truly a phenomena to behold. Any freestyle rapper who knows how difficult it is to do that will have to give him his props. Also on a business level he set the bar of how to do business 'I'm not a businessman, I'm a business man! ' He transcended all music genres like Eminem, the first hiphop rapper to headline Glastonbury, we salute you! A true living legend.

He's leading the league in at least 6 statistical categories right now... Best flow, most consistent, realest stories, most charisma, he sets the most trends, and his interviews are hotter. Holla! Seriously though the man changed the game. He shut down nas in their feud and had some of the best albums ever (blueprint and reasonable doubt to name a few). Songs like murder to excellence and moment of clarity have proven him a phenomenal lyricist, and the man seriously knows how to party. I gotta respect tupac even though most of his hype is because he is dead, but the others have nothing on Jay

Jay-Z is King of Hip-Hop (living at least) in my mind - Eminem is King of Rap (again, living). Their musical stylings, while of the same vein, do differentiate them in my mind. As a young one though, I will admit I haven't heard as much Tupac and Biggie but would understand that even if their stuff was less advanced in some ways that they would be trailblazers in the art form and might be given due diligence and put above Jay and Em for those reasons. No disrespect to 50, but having a hard time understanding how he or Wayne landed above Jay Z.

Jay-Z made history besides Eminem and the rest. Jay-Z had the most no. 1 solo albums in history with 11 beating Elvis Presley and 12 counting collab with Watch The Throne behind The Beatles with 19 besides Eminem. Eminem Infinite and The Slim Shady EP ain't anything until he made The Slim Shady Linkin Park. And it took Lil wayne 9 years to make a no. 1 song. The only rappers is just as good as Jay-Z is Biggie and Biggie can't have enough flows as Jay. You can ask any rapper, singer, actor or producer and their gonna put jay in front of Eminem

I wouldnt say jay is the greatest maybe not even top 10 but there is no way that fiddy should be ahead of him.Jay has has more talent in his left nut than that moron has in entire steriod created body.Im not dissing the hustle of 50 cause I respect that.Hes managed to build on almost no talent witch is a major accomplishment but hes far from good rapper.if you vote for him your crazy.

Smart business man and has brought us new talent such as kayne west to the rap game... When it's all set and done the only one that will stand alone in the throne of a true king in the rap game will be him.. No other rapper has a chance!

Jay-Z is so real, he can go hard - as he ALWAYS does. No one ever says it as good as Jay does, he lays it down. His voice, his beats, his lyrics. He's the best rapper alive, and of all time. The word play and delivery are just plain sick. Listen to Reasonable Doubt. First album and still a hip hop classic. Like the older Jay-Z stuff more than his new stuff. Watch the Throne was an attempt to stay relevant. The only ones in the same class are Em, Pac and Biggie. The rest shouldn't be mentioned in the same phrase. Lil Wayne = by far the most overrated.

Jay-Z is the best. Hands down. Thanks to him rappers can have legitimate careers after 40. He showed cats how to keep your skills up while aging gracefully. Well, he's shown cats a lot of things. He's had more impact on rap and music in general than everyone on this list combined. This list is garbage anyway. Eminem is dope but not the GOAT. Krazy and Bizzy Bone in the top ten. We don't believe you, you need more people.

Jay-z is by far the greatest rapper of all time. For the simple fact that he's been the most consistent puts him above everybody. Rappers like Wayne just repet the same thing over and over he's just clever with changing he's words around. Eminem just talked about he's mom all the time and dissed white pop stars. Hovas been consistent sense 1996 and dosent repet the same lyrics because he has true talent.

The man can compare love to heroin, I know, he is a 21st century poet. The genius of Jay-Z is how he is able to write material which people can relate to. Another thing to admire is how even when being dissed he was able to use simple wording and metaphors to keep his cool and get back at rivals - the takeover being a prime example.

And nah I didn't get shot up a whole bunch of times (50 cent), or make up ish in a whole bunch of lines(Eminem); and I ain't animated like lets say a Busta Rhymes. But the real ish you get when you bust down my lines, add that to the fact I went Plat(nuim) a bunch of times, times that by my influence on pop culture, and I'm supposed to be number 1 on everybodies list...

Good flow. Good sound. Just flat-out good. Not even that. This rappers flow is incredible. He should be No. 3, with Tupac or Biggie being no. 1 or No. 2.
Lil' Wayne can't compare (half of his raps now don't even make sense) and he killed Nas, although he still has some respect for him. Jay-Z, without doubt, should be AT LEAST the no. 4 greatest rapper of all time. Eminem could be above him, but Tupac or Biggie get the No. 1 or No. 2 spot. No doubt about it.

Best flow, best beats, most hits. Even though the watch the throne album is crap I think all of his earlier albums makes him the best rapper of all time. Listen to Reasonable Doubt and you will probably rate him number one too. Eminem and 2pac may have better rap skills (not lyrically), but they are not as funky and dope as Jay. Biggie may be better but didn't get to make as much music..

His flow, his delivery, his beats his everything! His songs are deep but he also has fun songs and he has been in the rap game for a long time and he is still in his prime. Songs like Takeover, Izzo and 99 Problems are all time classics and he has very underrated songs and Kanye and him make an extremely good rap pair. All 3 Blueprints are all time classics and he has very good albums today like Watch the Throne etc plus he can actually rap live he isn't all fake studio only
