Earl Campbell

1978 rookie of the year. 1979 mvp 5 time pro bowler. had it not been for bum phillips it might have been earl, emmitt and company had chased or the record.

Earl was much better then this rani
has him. No one was better then him in his prime, not Payton and certainly not Dorsett. If only this generation got to see him run and demolish the defenses they would understand his greatness.

" Earl campbell was special, the best in his time. He wasn't human, he was superman"

I have watched all of these running backs and no one i repeat no one comes close to earl campbell. This guy could rip defenses to pieces on his own TYVM.

Earl was the greatest. In case most of you forgot, Walter Payton and Tony Dorsett played in his era and neither could compare to him. He was a beast and a classy player not like todays players. Remember he played the Steel Curtain twice a year and if not for them stacking the line to stop him he would have easily broken the 2000 yard barrier. Great Player and great person, he really made the Oilers although he would never agree because he was the ultimate team player.

He was the greatest and could inflict more pain on a team than any other single man

GREATEST POWER BACK EVER

I WOULD BE SCARED NOT TO VOTE FOR EARL IN FEAR HE MAY RUN ME OVER TOO

A fan of football for 25 years and I have never seen a running back earn MVP of the league his ROOKIE season. Will never be duplicated in the history of football and for him not to be in the top 5 is IRRESPONSIBLE.

just watch his highlight real and you will see why he is the best!
