Awaji Yukihiro

Simply the best... Fast beats, so passionate, very energetic, awesome accuracy, able to turns old songs to new revised beats without affecting the song quality; in fact refreshing and improvising the old songs and making it more to his own style (and he always do that when performing old songs at live concerts, which would be songs that previously drummed by L'Arc~en~Ciel previous drummer Yatsunori Sakurazawa) unique style, all in all a very talented drummer but yet very humble and down-to-earth personalities that attract fans attention to him. His songs composition (fact: he is also a song writer and composer, apart from served as vocalist/founder of Acid Android, programmer and a bassist to P'unk~en~Ciel, L'Arc~en~Ciel alter ego) were always a little out-of-the-ordinary but they're unique and can be pleasant to his-kind-of listeners (and his/the band fans)(New World was one of his work that sound a bit pop-ish, his solo works like 13ayream and Code were industrial, experimental and alternatives rock but it worth to listen to, and his new song for L'Arc~en~Ciel upcoming new album rumoured to be Butterfly, called Shade of seasons are seem to be worth to look forward for in the album). Try listens to L'arc~en~Ciel songs that vary in different genres(from rock to ballad and a dash of techno) and listen to their old songs (from Sakura's works), compares it with the same song that played live by him and listen to the differences (but both of them are very talented people with two different styles, hence resulting to the two different sounds) then you will know this guy.

He was a drummer of japanese bands ZI:KILL and DIE IN CRIES (KYO of D'ERLANGER's own band). They disbanded in 1998. tetsu had a hard time meeting yukihiro due to yukihiro had no mobile phone at that time. He replaced sakura (because of heroin possession) then become the drummer. He has a unique style of hitting the drums and he is a very fast drummer but he also created lots of drumming in slow songs. He is also a programmer.

I went for L'Arc~en~Ciel World Tour at Singapore last night. During his solo, it was just amazing! His powerful play and the fact that he looked so much in fun attracted me so much! It's like cool+cute+awesome+amazing+power+etc! He can play fast then slow down then fast again and he doesn't look tired! HE'S AWESOME! BEST EVER!

He's such an amazing drummer, the drum sections in some of the new songs are absolutely fantastic. He's always so quiet and hidden behind his drums that I'd swear that everyone ignores him but he's an amazing drummer. Anytime I see him play, it's so fantastic and amazing.

he is faster and better than Kai of Gazette, Gazette are the newer bands of japanese visula kei and yukihiro played in numerous bands like ZI:KILL, DIE IN CRIES and of course L'Arc~en~Ciel.

Yukihiro just awesome when he played drum in "Ready Steady Go! ". I love him when he played the drum. Although he didn't speak anything in L'Arc en Ciel world tour, I still adore him
